HOPEWELL JUNCTION – George B. Rall, 73, an area resident since 1991, passed away at home on October 28, 2023. He previously lived in Yonkers.
Born on September 22, 1950 in Chicago, IL, George was the son of the late George and Rita (Gostompsky) Rall. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He was employed by Liberty Lines Bus Company in Yonkers for over 32 years until his retirement in 2012.
George was a parishioner at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction where he served as an Usher at the 12pm Mass. He was an avid fan of the NY Giants and liked woodworking. More than anything, he will be remembered as a kind man who enjoyed helping others.
On September 5, 1981 at St. Barnabus Church in Yonkers, George married Marguerite R. (Mico) Rall who survives at home. He is also survived by his son Patrick Rall of Hopewell Junction; his daughter, Kathleen Rall of Hopewell Junction; his siblings, Frank Rall and his wife Adrienne, Theresa Kochan, and Elizabeth Seglibene; his nephew, Anthony Seglibene; and his niece, Danielle Seglibene. In addition to his parents, George was also predeceased by his sister, Mary McCann.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3 – 7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery with military honors.
