George Francis Taibi, 72, an area resident for 15 years and previously of Mahopac, died on June 25, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.

Born on November 11, 1948 in New York City, George was the son of Francis and Theresa (Spadafora) Taibe. On October 9, 1971 in Mohegan Lake, George married the love of his life, Christine Gallucci who survives at home.

George worked for 3M as a salesman until in retirement in 2004. He then became a salesman for Strauss Paper Company in Port Chester.

George loved music and was a diehard Jets fan. He was a great friend to everyone and if anyone asked to help he wouldn't question it. He was the most generous and kind man.

In addition to his wife, George is survived by his children, Amy Webb and her husband Michael of Hopewell Junction, Matthew Taibi and his wife Marissa of Rhode Island; his grandchildren, Hunter Webb and his wife Alli, Mia Webb, Emma Webb, Lila Taibi; his brothers, Arthur Taibe and his wife Patricia, Louis Taibe and his wife Barbara; and many nieces, nephews, great niece and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home followed by interment at Wappingers Rural Cemetery.
