Georgene Margaret Weaver, 88, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 25 years and previously of White Plains, died on April 8, 2019 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born on December 26, 1930 in White Plains, Georgene was the daughter of John and Kathleen (McNamara) Downes. She was a School Bus Driver for Southern Westchester BOCES. She enjoyed babysitting and spending time with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for watching Days of Our Lives and eating Peanut Butter and Jelly with a hot cup of tea.

Georgene is survived by her children, David Allen Weaver and his wife, Catherine of FL, and Kathleen O'Connor and her husband Steven of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, Kaitlin and Brianna O'Connor, and Susan, David and Michael Weaver; and her brothers, Jackie Downes and his wife Barbara, and John Downes. She was predeceased by her sister, Marion Stone and Patsy Keeler.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
