BEACON – Georgia "Lorraine" Lucas, a longtime resident of Beacon, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on September 18, 1927 in Beacon, she was the daughter of the late Cheney and Nellie (Townsend) Aldrich.

On May 25, 1947 in Beacon, she married the love of her life Edward A. Lucas. Her husband of 70 years survives at home. Lorraine is also survived by her daughter, Marlene Cole and her husband Douglas; her son, Stephen Lucas; her grandchildren, Kyle and Rhiannon Lucas, Shelby and Joseph Day, Andrew Lucas, Glen Pavelock, and Jonathan Lucas; 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Barney. Mrs. Lucas was also predeceased by her sisters and brothers and daughter-in-law, Jane Lucas.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The funeral service will be on Friday at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
