Gerald J. Goudy, 40, a resident of Plano, Texas and formerly of Dutchess County, New York died suddenly on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at his home following a massive heart attack.
Jerry was born in Mount Vernon, New York on June 27, 1969.  He was employed by Novellus Systems in Plano, TX.  He served our country as a Petty Officer in the United States Navy and was a very active member of the Casey Joyce All-America VFW Post 4380 in Plano, Texas.

On April 4, 1997 in Beacon, New York, Jerry married Gina Mazzacone who survives him at home.  He is also survived by his parents, Salvatore and Kathleen Iaropoli of St. Augustine, Florida; his children, Shannon Griffin of Hopewell Junction, New York, Lola, Gerald Jr. and Matthew Goudy of Plano, Texas; his brothers, William Goudy and his wife, Michele of St. Augustine, Florida and Vincent Iaropoli of Yonkers, New York; his grandfather, Antonio Vanacore of New Rochelle, New York; his nieces and nephews, Ashley, Billy, Sean and Samantha Goudy of St. Augustine, Florida; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by military honors.
