Gerald Virgil Mora, 83, a resident of Wesley Chapel, FL since 2005 and formerly of Hopewell Junction, died on June 19, 2024. Born in Yonkers on February 6, 1941, he was the son of Henry Mora and Harriet (Meeks) Mulready.

Jerry was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O' Lakes, FL. He loved spending time with his family and pets, watching TV game shows, bowling, listening to the music of Josh Groban and Johnny Mathis, riding in his car, eating jelly donuts, and talking on the phone with his friends and loved ones. On July 30, 1961 at St. Barnabas Church in the Bronx, Jerry married Antonia Pellettiere who survives at home.

He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Gerald and Marla Mora, Suzanne and Mario Mariani, Lisa and Tim Farrell, Denise and Damian Marquith; his grandchildren, Krista Mora, Larissa Farrell, Victoria and Ian Edwards, Joseph Farrell, and Alexis Marquith; his great-granddaughter, Charlotte Edwards; his sisters, Michele Corcione and husband Lou, and Lynn Nazarro; his sister-in-law, Linda Mora; and his dog, Oakley. He was predeceased by his brother, Douglas Mora.

Calling hours will be held on Friday June 28, 2024 from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday June 29, 2024 at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
