Geraldine Levani
July 22, 1945 - July 18, 2026
Geraldine Katherine Levani, 80, of Palm Harbor, FL, passed away at the AdventHealth Connerton Hospital in Connerton, Florida, following a long illness. A Florida resident for over 30 years, Geraldine previously resided in Stormville, NY, Brewster, NY, and great up in the Bronx, NY.
Geraldine graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx in 1963, and in 1987 received her Associate in Applied Science Degree from Elizabeth Seton College. She started her career as a secretary at Johns Manville Corporation in New York City, and eventually joined Xerox Corporation in Stamford, CT, where she worked her way up to be the Manager of the Training, Development, and Recruiting Division. In the mid-1990s, she transferred with Xerox to the Tampa area.
Geraldine was an avid book reader and an eternal optimist, always with a smile on her face, and always thinking of others. She never met a stranger; people were always potential future friends to her. In the mid-1990s, she met a future friend who would become the love of her life, Frank Diglio. Frank moved to Florida with Geraldine and they were inseparable. Frank was her rock until his sudden passing in 2014. Geraldine's Lutheran faith and the knowledge she would be reunited with Frank has kept her strong during her long health battle over the last two years.
Geraldine was predeceased by her parents, Elsie (Watson) and Gerard Tischer; her brother John Cahill, her sisters, Mary Tully and Ruth Horn; and two half-sisters, Beverly and Mildred, whom she never had the pleasure to meet. She is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and many others who will miss her dearly.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 3 from 10-11am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service at 11am followed by interment in South Dover Rural Cemetery.
