Obituary

LAGRANGEVILLE – Geraldine S. Pantalone, 83, an area resident since 1972, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on May 27, 2021. She previously lived in Queens.

Born in Queens on January 23, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John and Hannah (Hayes) Shea. On September 21, 1963 in Manhattan, she married Philip D. Pantalone who predeceased her in 1998. Geraldine was employed in administration for the New York State Department of Corrections for over 25 years until her retirement.

An avid bowler, Geraldine also had many other hobbies including making ceramics, line dancing, playing Pokeno, and doing crossword puzzles. She was a fan of the NY Mets and a member of the Red Hat Society. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Geraldine is survived by her children, Joanne McPherson of Hyde Park, Daniel Pantalone and his significant other Amy Ann Ertel of Fishkill, and Debra Lizotte of Pleasant Valley; her son-in-law, Michael McPherson; her grandchildren, Megan and her husband Hans, Brianne and her husband Steven, Erin and her significant other Erskine, Darcy, Samantha and her husband Ryan, Daniel Jr., Nicole, and Ashleigh; her great-grandson, Erskine "Max"; her sister, Patricia Geiser; and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am at the funeral home followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery. Please Note: All guests must practice safety precautions in accordance with CDC guidelines.
