Gerard Francis Rahilly, 57, of Poughquag passed away Thursday, April 24th, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Gerard was born on August 1st, 1956, in Poughkeepsie, New York to the late Ellen and Martin Rahilly. He graduated from Arlington High School and went on to receive his bachelor's degree at Cornell University. He was employed at Pawling Rubber Company for 29 years.
Gerard is survived by his four siblings, Mary Jude (Mike) whom he was especially close to, Martin (Teresa), Ita (Louis), and Bridget (Rick). He is also survived by numerous adoring friends, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Gerard will be remembered for his many interests including fishing, running, cycling, film watching, and gardening. His loved ones will especially remember his gentle soul, his wonderful sense of humor, his laughter, and his quick-thinking in any situation.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery.
