Gino DiDomizio, 78, a resident of Wappinger Falls for 15 years and previously of Yonkers, died on March 10, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.

Born on February 15, 1938 in Italy, he was the son of Dominic and Elizabeth (DiDonato) DiDomizio. On May 12, 1962 in Yonkers, he married the love of his life, Maria Fasciani, who survives at home.

Gino was an auto mechanic for 35 years for General Motors in Tarrytown until his retirement in 1993. He also worked for Villa Construction in Pleasantville as a truck driver for 10 years. He was an avid hunter.

In addition to his wife, Gino is survived by his children, Linda Jurina and her fiancé, John, Rita Senerchia and her husband Nicholas of Pelham, and Paul DiDomizio and his fiancé, Lisa Nicaj of Cortlandt Manor; his grandchildren, Gina Marie, Anthony, Adrianna, Samantha, Joseph, Rachel, Nicholas, Nicholas and Melanie; his brother, Natale DiDomizio of Mahopac; and his brother-in-law, Adriano Fasciani.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
