Fishkill- Giuseppe Diana, age 91, passed away on July 23, 2023 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Amaseno, Italy on May 21, 1932 to the late Luigi and Carolina (Crecco) Diana. On July 6, 1958, he married the love of his life, Rosa Maria (Schiavone) Diana in the Bronx. They were happily married for 61 years before her death in 2019.

Giuseppe worked for many years as a laborer, but his true passion was Diana's Deli. He loved cooking, gardening, and his beloved fig trees. He loved sports, namely soccer and baseball, especially rooting for his Yankees. In addition to being a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather, he was a friend to all, welcoming everyone into his home. He loved his family dearly, they were everything to him. Spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him so much joy. He loved to tell them stories about his life.

Giuseppe is survived by his loving children: Sara Monaco and her husband Anthony, Michael Diana, Maria Cordoni and her husband Dave, Josephine Cerasi and her husband David; his grandchildren: Joseph Monaco and his wife Caitlin, Sara Donovan and her husband Timmy, Anthony Monaco and his wife Annabel, and Melissa Rosselli and her husband Tom; his great-grandchildren: Olivia, Tessa, Ava and Anthony; and his siblings: Carmela, Maria, Marsilia, Anna and Mario.

In addition to his parents Luigi and Carolina, and his wife Rosa Maria Diana, Giuseppe was also predeceased by his sister Fernanda and his daughter-in-law Denise Diana.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday July 26, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday July 27, 2023 at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson St. Fishkill, followed by entombment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
