Giuseppe Paglia, 86, a resident of Hopewell Junction and formerly of Yonkers and San Donato, Italy, died on February 27, 2022 at home.
Born on June 20, 1935 in Italy, Giuseppe was the son of Carmine and Donata (Tossi) Paglia. On July 23, 1955, Giuseppe married the love of his life, Donata Rufo who survives at home.
Giuseppe worked as a machinist for New Rochelle Precision Grinding. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his wife, Giuseppe is survived by his children, Anthony of Northport, FL, Joseph and his wife, Maria of Charlotte, NC, Peter and his wife Tina of Hopewell Junction; his grandchildren, Giuseppe, Carmine, Brianna, Angelica and Anthony; his sister, Antoinette Palma; his sister in law, Giuseppina Paglia; his nephew, Carmine, Sandra, Marianne and Loreto Paglia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Loreto; and his daughter in law, Jodi.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday and Friday from 5-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
