BEEKMAN - Glenda Floyd, an area resident since 1998 and formerly of Yonkers, died on October 8, 2024 at her home.

Born in Yonkers on January 16, 1948, she was the daughter of the late James More and Norwesta Goodman. Glenda was employed as a School Psychologist by New York State for the Yonkers Board of Education. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping and volunteering with children.

Glenda is survived by a large extended family including her nephews, Jason Walton and Hunter Walton; her cousins, Joyce and Gazell Pettway, Jr., Doris Griggs, Joe and Sara Burke, Lewis Burke and Valencia Wells, Rodney, Darryl and Orlando Lockhart; her great nieces and nephews, Dante and Lana Williams, Yvonne Walton, Rani and Timothy Ayler, Chanel and Wojtek Walton-Izydorski, and Jasmine Schoenecke; and her great, great nephews, Dante Williams Jr. and Dion William. She was predeceased by her sister, Beverly Walton.

Memorial services will be held in the future.
