Glendine VanAnden, 89, a lifelong area resident, died on October 29, 2023 at the Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Ulster.

Born in Beacon on September 29, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Light) King. Glendine had been employed as an administrative secretary at the East Fishkill Community Library for many years. She was a member of the East Fishkill Republican Club, and had served as a member of the East Fishkill Republican Committee.

On September 2, 1951 in Wappingers Falls, Glendine married Cecil N. VanAnden, who died in 2001. She is survived by her sons, Cecil E. "Skip" (Dona) VanAnden and Mark A. (Liz) VanAnden; her grandchildren, Janet Conte, Jason (Laura) VanAnden, June VanAnden, Chris (Jen) VanAnden, Marcus Molinaro and Justin Molinaro

Her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Levi, Vincent, Alex, Justin and Joyce. She was predeceased by her sisters, Betty Hunter and Joanne Phillips.
The family would like to thank the staff at Taconic at Ulster for their kindness and the compassionate care they provided to Glendine during her time at the facility.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 11, at 10:30am at Fishkill Rural Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
