Gloria Teixeira Garcia, 92, died on January 26, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Portugal on September 28, 1930, she was the daughter of Jose Garcia and Anna Teixeira. Gloria loved gardening and most importantly, praying.
She was predeceased by her husband, Americo Melo. She is survived by 6 children including Fernanda Carneiro and Reinaldo Melo here in New York; 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister in Portugal.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 10am -12pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 12:30pm at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
