Gordon S. Foster, 83, a resident of Lagrangeville since 2000, and previously of Poughkeepsie, died on April 16, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.
Born on February 8, 1938 in Manhattan, Gordon was the son of Norman Walter and Violet (Cioffi) Foster. He proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962.
Gordon was an English Teacher in the Hyde Park School District for 40 years until his retirement in 2002. He also taught at the Center for Lifetime Study (CLS) at Marist College. He was an avid reader, loved music and horticulture.
On July 1, 1967 at Regina Coeli Church in Hyde Park, Gordon married Hope Winslow who survives at home. He is also survived by his three sons, Mark Foster, Andrew Foster, and Matthew Foster of Lagrangeville; and his granddaughter, Ava Foster.
