RHINEBECK – Grace E. Rifenburgh was born on October 7, 1941 and she passed on December 30, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Grace was the daughter of Percy and Grace Hoose. On October 10, 1959 in Clinton Corners, she married Reginald Rifenburgh who passed on February 3, 2017. Grace was a certified health care professional for Millbrook Health Care Facility for 33 years and then at Thompson House.

Grace loved her family, flowers, music, knitting and crocheting blankets and quilts, and westerns.

Grace is survived by her daughters, Gracie Giansante of St. Augustine, FL, Brenda Treanor of Vergennes, VT, and Deborah Freihofer and husband Hermann Jr. of LaGrangeville; her son, Reginald Rifenburgh Jr. of Kingston; her sister, Ruthie Meehan of TX; her brother, Roger Hoose of AZ; and several nieces and nephews. She was a grandmother to 15, and a great-grandmother to 18. She was predeceased by her brothers, John, Walter, George, Donald, Charles, Arthur and Robert; her sisters, Lillian, Katherine, Rosemary and Caroline; and her grandson, Kyle Freihofer.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4pm with a service at 4pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82, Hopewell Jct.
