On Thursday, December 26, 2019, Gregory Richardson, 62, a loving husband and father of 8 children and 5 grandchildren, passed. Gregory was born March 2, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY to Mary Ellen and Willie James Richardson.

At the age of 17, Gregory went to go serve a tour in the United States Army as a Bath Specialist. He worked a few years at the Veterans Hospital. He loved to cook, watch good movies, do carpentry work, help others, and to joke. He especially loved his dog, Blazes.

Gregory leaves behind his wife of 15 years, Barbara Richardson; his children, Gregory Richardson, Jr., Delia Richardson, Dawn Richardson, Jemele Richardson, Isaiah Richardson, Tariq Watson, Ebony McCollum and Jasmine McCollum; his mother, Mary Ellen; his sister Maria Richardson; his brother, Andy Richardson; ; his sisters-in-law, Brenda Brown and Melvina Brown; his uncle, James Curry; his close friend and neighbor Sorita Ayacan and her son, Diego; his nieces, Shakira Eccles and Gabrielle Ostrove; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Willie James Richardson. The family wishes to send a special thank you to Robin and Roslyn.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 10 - 11 am followed by a service at 11 am at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 15 Smith Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
