Hani F. Hattar, 62, a resident of LaGrangeville since 1993 and formerly of Yonkers, died on October 13, 2016 at his home.
Born in Jericho, Jordan on April 5, 1954, he was the son of Rifah Hattar and the late Fahed Ayed Hattar. Hani was employed as a cab driver with Yonkers Yellow Cab for many years. He loved spending time with his family and the outdoors. He enjoyed swimming, fishing, hunting and collecting antiques.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Hilda and Vinny Cozza of Wappingers Falls, Henry and Angelika Hattar of Wappingers Falls, Susan and Nithal Haddad of Hopewell Junction, Dr. Thomas Hattar and Dr. Jeanine Werner of Annapolis, MD, Joseph Hattar of Poughkeepsie, Michael Hattar and Helen Miello of Shohola, PA; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was also predeceased by his brother, William Hattar.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 1-2:30pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held at 2:30pm followed by interment in Hopewell Cemetery.
