Harold A. Kruger, 75, a resident of Poughquag for 6 years and previously of Putnam Valley, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Brooklyn on July 12, 1938, he was the son of Harold and Natalie Russo Kruger. Harold was employed as a plumber for Katonah Plumbing and Heating for 40 years until he retired in 2008. He was an avid reader of science fiction and history.

On September 13, 1980 in Shrub Oak, Harold married Nobila DiBenedetto Colangelo who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Carmine Colangelo of Seabrook, NH, Salvatore Colangelo of Poughquag, Jo-Ann Colangelo of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Michael Colangelo of Old Greenwich, CT; his brother, James Kruger of Brooklyn; and his 3 grandchildren.

Calling Hours will be on Friday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
