Harriette Acampora's Obituary
EAST FISHKILL - Harriette Acampora, 99, an area resident for 45 years and formerly of the Bronx, died peacefully on April 8, 2020 at her home.
Born in Manhattan on August 1, 1920, she was the daughter of Harry and Hedwig (Manz) Spangenberg. She was a member of the Minnehaha Chapter #227, Order of the Eastern Star in City Island. She also enjoyed going to the East Fishkill Senior Center where she made many friends over the years.
Harriette was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, and her sister, Anna Lauten. She is survived by her son, Ernest and his wife Marie; her grandsons and their wives, Ernie and Jennifer, and Michael and Rebecca; and her great-grandchildren, Lucas, Justin and Ginette Marie.
As per Harriette’s wishes, private services were held for the family with entombment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Minnehaha Chapter #227, Order of the Eastern Star, 241 City Island Avenue, Bronx, NY. 10464. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. Please visit Harriette’s Book of Memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com.
