WAPPINGERS FALLS - Hedy Ruppert, 95, passed away on December 1, 2024 at home. An area resident since 1952, she previously lived in Narrowsburg, Germany.

Born on February 26, 1929, Hedy was the daughter of the late Eric and Frieda (Reichert) Posdzich. On March 19, 1972 in Fishkill, she married James Ruppert who predeceased her in 1991.

Hedy is survived by her children, Sita Winter, Arlene McClay, Judy Winter, Susan Mulford, and Bruce Winter; her grandchildren, Benny Montanarello, Billy Mulford, Breanna Wagner, Brittany Winter, Alysha Willis. Erica Winter, Jennifer Walker, Christine Dickerson, and Melissa Lewis; her great-grandchildren, Brandon, Katie, Jade, Gabriel, Blakely, and TJ; and her brothers, Eric Posdzich and Donald Posdzich.

In addition to her parents and husband, Hedy was also predeceased by her son, Eric Winter; and her grandsons, Bruce Sky Winter and BJ and TJ Montanarello.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 15th from 1 - 3 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
