Helen S. Bushek, 93, a resident of LaGrangeville for 20 years and formerly of Yonkers, died peacefully on Friday, November 20, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Yonkers on December 23, 1915, she was the daughter of John and Mary Stefanchik.  She was a member of Blessed Kateri Church in LaGrangeville.

Helen was predeceased by her husband, John Bushek on September 26, 1988.  She is survived by her children, John Bushek of Peekskill, Virginia Giaimo of LaGrangeville, George Bushek, Sr. and his wife, Dorothy of Wappingers Falls, William Bushek of LaGrangeville and Mary Du Vernoy and her husband, Charles of LaGrangeville; her sisters, Anna McCoy and Lillian Fedore; her grandchildren, Vincent Giaimo, George Bushek, Jr., Brian Bushek, Christie Garb, Carrie Levitt, Melody Delmedico, Caroline Du Vernoy, Sarah Bushek and Katherine Du Vernoy; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers.
