Helen Patricia Campanaro, 91, an area resident since 2000, passed away on July 6, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She previously lived in Yonkers, Cornwall and Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Born in the Bronx on November 12, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Stokes) Hynes. On July 9, 1943 in Great Lakes, IL, she married Joseph P. Campanaro who survives at home.

In addition to her loving husband of 72 years, Helen is survived by her daughters, Patricia Campanaro Calogero and her husband William of Union Vale, and Jean Scott and her husband John of Stormville; her grandchildren, James Deigan, Jeffry Deigan, Joseph Deigan, Jason Deigan, Scott Johanson, William Calogero, Jr., Susan Calogero, Nancy Calogero, Christopher Calogero, and John Calogero; her 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; her brother-in-law, Paul Campanaro and his wife Doris; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Helen was also predeceased by her siblings, Walter Hynes, Lillian Rourke, and John Hynes.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 – 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
