Preceded by her siblings and their spouses. Sonny, Margurite, Mary, James, Joe, Catherine, Irene, Virginia, Francis, Karl & Charles. Preceding Helen is her first husband, David H. Beckwith, and the love of her life Narcisse (Frenchy) Deneu her second husband.
Helen is survived by her sons, Stephen D. and D. Shawn Beckwith; stepchildren Eileen Deneu and Pierre Deneu; brother and sister in-laws in France; three grandchildren Lauren, Tori & Caleb, along with and including 20 nieces and nephews and over 50 great & great-great nieces and nephews.
Helen graduated from Keeseville High School class of 1955 as the Co-Valedictorian. Besides being a loving & engaged parent, nurturing & assisting her children's pursuits in sports & activities, she was an active member at the Keeseville Methodist Church & The First Reformed Church in Fishkill. In her small stature Helen would sing harmoniously with each hymn. Helen enjoyed her responsibilities and duties with the Order of Eastern Star with NYS Grand Chapter appointment and membership at the Prospect Chapter #659 and the Cascade-Vasser Chapter #347.
Helen was very proud of her heritage. Recent genealogical research confirmed family lore that her lineage traces back to the French Explorer Jean Nicolet, Sieur de Belleborne and Jeanne Nipissing of Canada's First Nation (Anishinaabe, Nipissing). Helen fondly enjoyed the mid-Hudson regions parks with Narcisse frequently picnicking and with friends of the mid-Hudson Wine Society.
A memorial service to celebrate Helen and her life will start at noon on Saturday, 14 September at the First Reformed Church located at 1153 Main St. in Fishkill, NY 12524. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home. Please visit Helen's Book of Memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com.
