Helen M. Groth, 103, a resident of Wappingers Falls, died on April 16, 2021 at home.
Born on January 21, 1918 in Yonkers, Helen was the daughter of John and Mary (Hample) Yurus.
Helen was quite a "wise-guy" who was loving and fun with a 165 bowling average at the age of 85. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and jumbles. Everyone will remember her as being the greatest babysitter ever!
Helen is survived by her children, Pamela Reid and her husband Ed of Wappingers Falls and Albert Groth and his wife Jodi of Meadview, AZ; her grandchildren, Dawn Zitz, Peter Zitz, Christina Crawford, and Alan Groth; her great-grandchildren, Julien Zitz, Olivia Zitz, Mary Garnet Crawford, and John Crawford; her siblings, John Yurus, Bill Yurus, Ruth Yurus; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her siblings, Edward, George and Edna.
