Helen "Dolly" Webb of Vero Beach, Florida and Blue Mountain Lake, New York died on Sunday, July 11, 2010. She was 85 years old. She was the wife of John C. Webb Sr.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Webb is survived by a daughter, Patricia Webb Goodemote, of Rhinebeck and a son, John C. Webb, Jr., of Fishkill. She is also survived by five grandchildren. The Webb family resided in Dutchess County for more than a century.
Mrs. Webb was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Larson. She was born January 27, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs. Webb attended public schools in Detroit, Michigan and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
At the completion of her junior year at Chatham College in Pittsburgh, she married John C. Webb on June 22, 1946. Mrs. Webb completed her education at Middlebury College in Vermont. Mrs. Webb was a member of the Hopewell Reformed Church in Hopewell Junction.
The funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Hopewell Reformed Church, 143 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction with Rev. Taylor Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot in Fishkill Rural Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
