Hilde F. Littauer (nee Apt) peacefully passed away at age 106 on February 27, 2017, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, surrounded by family and close friends. She was born in Berlin in 1911, and came to New York in 1937, where she met and married her husband of 63 years, Rudolf, who predeceased her in 2002. She is survived by her son Andrew (1941-). Her daughter Sibyl Weil died in 1999. Her family and many friends will miss her love and thoughtful, practical suggestions and guidance. A memorial reception is planned in the near future at her home in Poughquag.
