Irene Byrne, 81, of Port St. Lucie, FL and formerly of Poughquag, NY, died on December 30, 2024 at HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital.

Born in the Bronx on August 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (McMahon) Byrne. Irene had been employed as a nurse at Castle Point VAMC until her retirement. She had attended St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction.

Irene is survived by her partner, James Mooney; her son, Matthew Multari and his wife Jennifer; and her grandchildren, Madison, Max, Allysa and Anthony. She was predeceased by her children, Daniel, Joanne and Deirdre Multari.
