DELRAY BEACH, FL – Irene P. Chiodi, 94, died on December 18, 2017 at her home. She previously lived in Fishkill.

Born in the Bronx on April 28, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Auguste and Alvira (McVity) Fournier. On November 17, 1946 at St. Helena’s Church in the Bronx, Irene married Joseph G. Chiodi who predeceased her on December 15, 1998. Irene had been employed as a sales associate at Sears in Poughkeepsie for 20 years until her retirement. She also volunteered at the Nifty Thrifty Resale Shop in Fishkill for many years.

Irene is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth O’Toole of Yorktown and Marie Chiodi and her husband Edward Boslow of Delray Beach, FL; her son-in-law, David O’Toole; her grandchildren, Jane Kurz and husband Chuck of San Rafael, CA; Brian O’Toole of Yorktown, Drew Boslow of Delray Beach, FL, and Dillon Boslow of Delray Beach, FL; her great-grandchildren, Sam and Lola Kurz; her sister, Bernadette Castagnetta; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9-11am at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 11:30 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
