Irene Henn, 65, an area resident since 1970 and formerly of New Rochelle, died on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel.
Born on February 13, 1945 in New York City, she was the daughter of Christ and Theresa Constantinakos Rezinas. Irene was a teacher at Play & Learn Nursery School in Poughquag for many years until her retirement in 2006. She was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction and volunteered with Reach to Recovery in Poughkeepsie.

On August 18, 1968 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in New Rochelle, Irene married Daniel M. Henn, Sr. who survives at home. She is also survived by her daughter, Debbie Walker and her husband Tim of Pennsauken, NJ; her son, Daniel M. Henn, Jr. of Poughquag; her granddaughter, Ashley Walker; and her sister, Peggy Hoff and her husband Joseph of Pittsford. She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Zacharakis.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
