LaGrange – Irene B. Pomilla, age 81, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on September 11, 2022.

She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on September 27, 1940 to parents Alfred and Alice (Bjerg) Rasmussen. On March 21, 1959 she married the love of her life, Frank Pomilla, in Copenhagen.

Irene was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She loved to cook, take trips to the casino, and travel. She was a member of the Coterie Women's Club in Poughkeepsie.

Irene is survived by her five children: Thomas (Dr. Neva Crogan-Pomilla) Pomilla, Robert Pomilla, Frank Pomilla, Kenneth (Kristi) Pomilla and Suzanne Liguori; her beloved grandchildren: Heather and Anthony Liguori, Ashley, Kristen, Arianna, Alexa, and Franki Pomilla,, and Mikhailei Ortiz; and her great-grandchildren: Olivia, Julia, Collin, Aurora and Arya.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Frank Pomilla; and her granddaughters, Madison and Angelina Pomilla.

Memorial calling hours will be held from 4-7pm on October 7th at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will begin at 7pm.
