POUGHQUAG-Irmgard Agnes Zoeller, 90, died peacefully on October 8, 2022 in Germany while visiting family. A Dutchess County resident since 1964, she previously lived in Somers.

Born on May 30, 1932 in Grossheubach, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Alois and Maria Kremer. Irmgard first worked in the family knitwear business before immigrating to the US in 1955 leaving her small farming town in Germany to arrive in NYC. She was first employed as a domestic servant until she married Edward and then capitalized on her baking skills to work at Schrafft's and then the lunchroom at Overlook Elementary School before being a woodworker in the family custom kitchen business.

Irmgard was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction. She was an avid cook and baker and loved to work in the garden and knit and crochet in the colder months.

She is survived by her son, Steven Zoeller of LaGrangeville; her granddaughter, Kate Zoeller of Burlington, VT; her sister, Lieselotte Schulz and her husband Wilfried of Grossheubach, Germany; and her nieces and nephews, Stephanie McGill, Evelyn Petriccione, Romana Benedikt, Klaus Schulz, Cornelia Kremer, Simone Kremer, and Erwin Kremer. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Edward Zoeller and her brother, Guenther Kremer.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 28th from 4 – 6 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, October 29th at 10 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
