Isabella Giacalone, 60, died suddenly on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Daughter of the late Emanuele and Maria (Sessa) Giacalone, she was born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy on March 23, 1954. In 1968, her family immigrated to the United States and settled in the Bronx. Isabella moved to Yonkers in 1989. For 18 years, she worked as a Fine Jewelry Sales Associate for Macy's in White Plains.
She is survived by her sister, Anna Giacalone of Yonkers; her brother, Anthony Giacalone & his wife Gloria of Yonkers; her sister, Rosalia Musarra & her husband Anthony of Fishkill; and her nephew, Anthony Musarra. She is also survived by many other loving relatives in both the United States and Italy.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 19 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
