Isolina Santiago, a resident of Peekskill, formerly of the Bronx, died at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center on Thursday, November 28, 2013. She was 86.
Daughter of the late Juan Rodriguez Olan and Angelica Borrero Valentin, she was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on September 25, 1927.
For many years, she worked as a typist for the Marriage Bureau at the New York City Clerk's Office in Manhattan.
She is survived by her husband, Hector Luis Santiago, who survives at home in Peekskill; her daughter, Kathleen Astacio & her husband Walter of Fishkill; her grandchildren, Jonathan Astacio of Fishkill, Nyra Torres & her husband Teddy of Fishkill, and Taisha Santiago of the Bronx; her great-grandchildren, Jaela, Alex, Alisha, and Taniya; her brother, Tony Rodriguez & his wife Lidia; and also many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.
She was predeceased by her son, Edwin Santiago, in 1980; her sisters, Ana Guerra and Antonia Feliciano; and her brother, Luis Rodriguez.
