Ivan G. Lukianoff, 42, a lifelong area resident, died on Monday night, peacefully in his sleep.

Born on June 5, 1968, he was the son of George and Tatiana Lukianoff of Hopewell Junction. After high school, he became a mechanic, becoming one of the top car painters in the area. In his 30's, he became a librarian. In life, he was a talented builder. His wisdom helped those around him and he was often consulted when family help was needed. His kindness was an inspiration to others and the signature mark that he leaves in this life. He was selfless and generous and freely shared what he had. His hobbies included cars, motorcycles, guns, and cooking.

In addition to his parents, Ivan is survived by his siblings Nick, Andrei, and Maya.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Holy Dormition Stavropegial Convent Novo-Diveevo, 100 Smith Road, Nanuet. The service will commence at 11:00 a.m. and interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
