Ivan Petesic , 85 of Fishkill, fell asleep in death on August 18, 2025. Ivan was the son of the late Giordano Petesic & Anna Kristovic Petesic. He was predeceased by his wife, Daniella Milicic Petesic on February 2, 2023.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda Wagner & her husband Kip Wagner of Heathsville, VA; his granddaughter, Jenessa Hansford & her husband Michael Hansford of Lexington, VA; his brother Silio Petesic of Antibes, France; his sister Zlata Sudulic, of Zagreb, Croatia and other dear friends and relatives.

Ivan immigrated to this country in 1961 and worked hard to overcome language, culture and educational barriers to make a life for his family. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1967 and believed wholeheartedly in a future new world where he could work the land and make it beautiful and where everything would be peaceful and simple. He was famous for his custom-designed waterfalls, stonework walls, gardens, hard work and his garlic bread. He loved exploring new places, trips to Florida with the family, golf, volunteering on construction projects and relief work.

While often reminiscing about the old country, he was passionately fond of his adopted area of Fishkill where he was proud to have made a home.
