James J. Irizarry (Jim), 81, a resident of Dutchess County for 16 years and formerly of Tarrytown, died on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at home.
Born in New York City on March 18, 1931, he was the son of Angel & Andrea Irizarry. Jim served in the US Air Force and was a registered architect in Beacon, Tarrytown and New York City. He enjoyed music, dancing and baseball. A dedicated Witness of Jehovah, Jim served as an elder of the Beacon Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
On December 19, 1959 in New York City, Jim married Louise Acosta who survives him. He is also survived by his children, Inez Herman and husband Dan of CA and Mike Irizarry of CA. He was predeceased by his sister, Conchita Tantillo and his brother, Raul Irizarry.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 383 All Angels Hill Road, Hopewell Junction at 1pm.
