James L. Jones, 75, an area resident for 12 years and formerly of Westchester County, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at his home.
Born in New York City on June 13, 1935, he was the son of James Jones and Elizabeth Branch. He served in the US Navy as an Electrician and was the owner and operator of J & J Siding and Windows in Wappingers Falls. James was an avid golfer who played with his foresome every Thursday and loved bowling with his family and friends at alleys throughout the area.
On August 29, 1992 in Cortlandt Manor, James married his soul mate Janet Kreutzberg who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughters, Dana Jones of Peekskill and Heather Fanelli and her husband Eric of Highland; his granddaughters who were the light of his life, Victoria and Samantha; and many brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews..
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am in the Chapel of the Funeral Home followed by military honors.
