James Patrick Kane, a resident of Wappingers Falls for over 30 years, and previously of Mahopac, died on April 5, 2024, at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital. He was 65.
James was born on September 29, 1958, to the late James and Eleanor (Schutz) Kane. After graduating high school, for 25 years, James made a living working for Readers Digest in Mount Kisco. It was there that he met the love of his life, Heidi Hoffmann, she survives at home. James and Heidi were married in Wappingers Falls on May 27, 1994, later, welcoming their loving son, James. James was also employed with the Poughkeepsie Journal newspaper for 5 years. For 20 years, James was a devoted employee of Pinball Resource in Poughkeepsie, retiring last year.
Additional survivors include his son, James; his sister, Eileen Barrett; his sister, Bernadette Huestis and her husband, William; his sister, Kathleen Pfisterer and her husband, Dr. Dennis Pfisterer; his brother-in-law, Roger Hoffmann and his wife, Linda; his sister-in-law, Beatrice Keeling; his father-in-law, Wilhelm Hoffmann; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Ursula Hoffmann; and brother-in-law, Kevin Barrett.
In his leisure time, James enjoyed playing pinball and perusing tag sales and flea markets. Most of all, James loved spending time with his family, including his dogs, Noelle and Jingles.
