POUGHKEEPSIE – James Joseph Lynch, 35, a lifelong area resident, died on May 18, 2021 at his home.

Jimmy was born in Poughkeepsie on January 19, 1986. He was employed as an HVAC Technician for Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #21.

An avid fan of the NY Mets and NY Jets, Jimmy also enjoyed playing softball and baseball as well as chess. He was proud to be a friend of Bill W. Most of all, Jimmy loved his entire family, and cherished the time he spent with them, especially his wife and children.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Jessica (Ligotino) Lynch at home; his children, Brenden, 14, Gemma, 7, and Madison, 2; his mother, Deidre (DeLorenzo) Lynch of Hopewell Junction; his brother, Justin A. Lynch and his wife Kristen of Wappingers Falls; his nephews, Cameron, 15, and Caleb, 1; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jimmy was predeceased by his grandparents; and his father, James P. Lynch on February 16, 2021.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 – 7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction with a funeral service to follow at 7pm. Burial will be private. PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with NYS COVID guidelines, only fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask.
