James Richard Muro, Jr., 83, of Stormville and formerly of the Bronx, died on March 4, 2013 at the Putnam Hospital Center.

Born in the Bronx on September 3, 1930, he was the son of the late James R. Muro, Sr. and Christine Macchio Muro.

His beloved wife, Josephine Causa Muro, predeceased him on May 27, 2011. He is survived by his children, Christina Minieri, Marie Federico, Jamie Cummings, and Patricia Muro; his 6 grandchildren; and his sister, Rose Federici. He is also predeceased by his son, Jimmy Muro.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx with military honors.
