Obituary

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of James Andrew Neckles (63) of Hopewell Junction NY, born in the Bronx, residing in Lodi, NJ for most of his childhood. Jim left us on June 9, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family. He was an extraordinary and beloved father, devoted brother, uncle, grandfather, friend and a true inspiration to all who knew him.

Born on May 16th 1962, Jim lived a life characterized by unwavering strength, infinite generosity, and immeasurable love. He was a remarkable individual with a strong personality; a builder who crafted not only beautiful unique structures, but also a legacy of kindness. An artist whose creativity touched everything he pursued. An outdoorsman and fisherman with a love for the challenge and thrill of the sport. He approached life with a giving heart, always ready to lend a hand or offer support to those in need. His take on life was admirable and his story is one of a hero; that his family will share for endless generations.

One of his most memorable traits was his unique sense of humor and his refreshing ability to always say what was on his mind. You never had to guess where you stood with Jim, as his honesty was often delivered with a witty remark, and was truly endearing.

Jim was incredibly strong, facing life's challenges with courage and resilience. He fought to the very end, demonstrating his powerful spirit that will forever inspire us. He is deeply loved by his two fiercely devoted daughters, Jessica and Eleni, his brothers Reed and Jason (1992), his adoring granddaughter Jamie, his nephew Drew and countless others who's lives he touched along the way; and he will be immensely missed by all.

To know James was truly a gift but to be loved by him made you feel invincible. The world as we know it may never be the same with out our hero, but we know he walks beside us every day.

At Jimmy's request, there are no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, details to follow.
