Obituary

James A. Roughley, 72, a local resident for 46 years and formerly of Queens, died on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Astoria on October 24, 1940, he was the son of Albert and Cecelia Kegan Roughley. He was a master carpenter for over 40 years. James was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction.

On May 18, 1963, James married Eileen Dolores Quinn at Christ the King in the Bronx. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Patricia Delehanty and her husband Mike of Hopewell Junction, Anne Kappelmann of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Sean Roughley and his wife Tera of Roanoke, Indiana; his grandchildren, Kayla, Leah, Jamie and Kain Petersen, Michael Delehanty, Christian Kappelmann and Aiden Roughley; and his eight great-grandchildren, Jonathon, Briana, Jason, Justin, Kaitlyn, Arianna, Anthony, and Liliana.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10-11 am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc.
