James Anthony Santrello, III, a local area resident since 1995, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 5, 2024. He was 40.
He was born in Yonkers, NY on February 16, 1984. At the age of 11, his family moved to Dutchess County, and James graduated from Webutuck High School (Amenia, NY) in 2002.
Affectionately known to his family and friends as "L.J.", he enjoyed many activities such as rollerblading, art, and singing. He was also an avid New York Yankees fan. More than anything else, L.J. adored his kids and cherished spending time with those he loved.
On October 20, 2022, he married Lauren O'Dell Santrello, who survives at home in Fishkill along with their three children: Zachary, Julianna, and Grayson.
L.J. is also survived by his parents, James Santrello and Laurianna (Portoles) Santrello; his sisters and their husbands, Michelle & Chris Giles and Olivia & Leon Harvey; his mother-in-law, Melanie Garrison; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents; his father-in-law, Steve Garrison; and his infant son, Oliver Thayne Santrello (2021).
