STORMVILLE - James M. Shaffer, 63, a lifelong area resident, passed away at home on May 16, 2024.

Born in the Bronx on November 19, 1960, James was the son of the late Clarence and Sheila Shaffer. He had previously been employed by Argos in Brewster. He enjoyed playing the drums, alongside his brother who was a guitarist, in many bands over the years. As a gifted artist, he was extremely creative.

James is survived by his sister, Greta Shaffer of Carmel; his brother, Daniel Shaffer of Stormville; and his nephew, Christopher Shaffer.
