Jane Agnes Gammone, a local area resident for 34 years and formerly of Bronxville, died following a brief illness on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 68.

Daughter of the late Thomas O'Brien and Evelyn (DeCarlo) O'Brien, she was born in Manhattan on January 2, 1950.

On June 19, 1982, she married Louis H. Gammone in Scarsdale. Louie was the love of her life, and in 1984 they relocated to Dutchess County to raise their family. Jane worked for many years as a food service manager for Navin Brothers Food Service at Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie.

She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, but above all else, she cherished her grandchildren, whom she adored and spoiled.

In addition to her husband, Jane is also survived by her sons, Chris Gammone (Heather) of Clinton Corners and Vincent Gammone (Stephanie) of Stormville; her grandchildren, Juliana and Anthony; and many other loving relatives & friends.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 28 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m.
