Jane M. Jessup, 91, a resident of the Town of LaGrange for 16 years and formerly of Peekskill, died on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital.
Born in Manhattan on September 24, 1922, she was one of four children of Michael and Catherine McLaughlin. Following her mother's death, she was raised by Alice Gurran.
On August 19, 1945 in Peekskill, Jane married Albert C. Jessup who predeceased her on April 30, 2013. She is survived by her son, Edward P. Jessup and his wife Jean of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Ryan Jessup of Sarasota, FL and Ashley Scelia and her husband Edmond of Wappingers Falls; and her great-grandsons, Nicholas Edmond and Brayden Edward Scelia.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10am at All Saints Evangelical Lutheran Church, 133 North Cross Road, LaGrangeville with Rev. Glenn Stubbs officiating. Entombment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
