WALDEN – Jane Mason Kreutzberg, 78, died on September 17, 2021 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital.
She was born in Peekskill on July 22, 1943 and married Kenneth L. Kreutzberg on April 24, 1965 who survives at home. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Kim Ann Taibi and her husband Ben of Cornwall, NY and Koren Lee (Kori) Riddett of Fishkill, NY. She was a grandmother to 3 grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart (Grandma or Nene) to Lindsay Beth Roblesi, Eddie and Kenny Riddett.
Jane was a sister to James and Patrick Mason, Geraldine (Gerry) and husband Jack Perricelli, and Lynda and husband James (Jimi) Genovese. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Fanny (Gallucci) Mason, sisters Arline (Michael Compitello, Diane (Marty) Valentino, Ann Patricia (Teashia) Hughes, John Mason and Frances (Fran) Taylor. Jane was aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she loved dearly.
Jane loved watching her talented grandchildren excel. Lindsay who performed numerous times in drama/musical productions, jazz band and chorus at her high school, went on to and graduated Berkley College of Music in Boston, MA, lives and has her career in Music Business in NYC. Eddie graduated high school in 2017 where he played the clarinet in the band, as well as playing keyboard and piano, and is continuing his computer interests. Kenny plays and works hard in his career in ice hockey with the New Jersey Avalanche. Jane spent many days and nights going to see her grandchildren perform and was extremely proud of all their accomplishments.
Jane, a communicant of the Church of the Assumption in Peekskill, attended Peekskill schools and graduated from Peekskill High School in 1961. She worked at a number of different establishments in Peekskill while growing up. In 1965, Jane married Ken and moved to Yonkers. While raising her girls, she worked in a number of establishments in Yonkers. As an adult, she attended Mercy College in Yorktown. She worked for a number of years for the telephone company (NYNEX/Verizon), and in 1995 retired as a Purchasing Manager. While at NYNEX/Verizon, she served on the Board of the Telephone Pioneers and was a lifelong member. After retiring, she later worked for Thalle Construction, Chappaqua School District and Valley Central School District in Montgomery. Jane and Ken lived in Yonkers for many years before moving to Croton-on-Hudson in 1978, and eventually moved to Orange County in January of 2002.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. There will be a Funeral Service at 7pm.
