Jane Althea Morris, a lifelong area resident, passed away at Ridgefield Crossings on July 12, 2024. She was 93.

Jane was born on June 18, 1931, in Beacon, New York, to the late William and Edna (Jackson) Wright.

On April 15, 1951, Jane married the love of her life, Raymond W. Morris, at the Fishkill Methodist Church. Together they built a home where they raised their two children, Patricia Hart (Raymond) and Michael Morris (Kim). Jane proudly took care of their home and her family, demonstrating her love and devotion.

Jane was a dedicated member of the Wiccopee Community United Methodist Church as well as the Melzingah Chapter NSDAR.

In addition to her children, Jane is also survived by her grandchildren, Meaghan Hart (Robert Le Mon), Bryan Hart (Danielle), Christine Kress (Andrew), Michael Morris Jr., Carson Morris (Hillary Klegg), Shane Morris (Kristy), Teddy Rupp, and Amanda Rupp; her 10 great grandchildren; and her brother, Roger Wright (Shirley).

Jane was predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond and her brother, William A. Wright Jr., an Army Air Corp. during WWII, shot down over Germany.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 10am to 12pm, with service at 12pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction, New York. Jane will be laid to rest at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 US Route 9, Fishkill, New York.
